Principal's Message

Dear Beatty Middle School Families,
Welcome to a new and amazing year at the World’s Greatest Middle School, Gordon H. Beatty Middle School! It is my sincere pleasure and honor to welcome both our returning and new Broncos, along with the incredible new staff members joining our Beatty team for the 2025–2026 school year.
This year’s theme, "Built to Grow: Strengthening our Systems, Deepening our Impact," reflects our commitment to continued excellence, innovation, and meaningful growth. We are focused on refining the structures that support our students and deepening the positive impact we have on their academic and personal journeys.
We are excited to build on our strong foundation as we continue to Educate, Motivate, and Inspire the next generation of leaders. As a proud STEAM school, we offer a dynamic and engaging academic experience. From digital arts, coding, robotics, and 3D printing & design to aviation, music, and more, our elective offerings give students opportunities to explore, create, and lead.
At Beatty, we prioritize a rigorous curriculum that challenges our scholars while ensuring they are supported every step of the way. Our work is guided by a deep understanding that academic growth is most meaningful when paired with social, emotional, and ethical development. We are proud to offer programs that nurture the whole child, academically, behaviorally, and morally while preparing them to be confident, self-directed, and engaged members of society.
We believe that the partnership between school and home is critical to student success. We invite and encourage our parents and guardians to stay actively involved and talk with your child about their learning, encourage their growth, and celebrate their progress. Your support truly makes all the difference.
The Beatty staff and I are energized and inspired as we begin this new year together. We are excited to see the ways our scholars will grow, lead, and thrive in the months ahead.
Let’s Go Broncos!
Warmly,
Joaquin G. Valdez, Ed.D.
Principal, Gordon H. Beatty Middle School
