3D Design/ Design & Modeling

In the 3D Design elective, students are exposed to the basic concepts of three dimensional modeling, design, modification, and basic computing.They also become familiar with the system hardware and software based on Computer Aided Design (CAD). In addition to lectures and demonstrations, students utilize CAD equipment to produce a 3-D printing of their designs.Students in Design and Modeling apply the design process to solving problems and understanding the influence of creativity and innovation in their lives. Using Autodesk design software, students create a virtual image of their designs and produce a portfolio to showcase their innovative solutions. This class also allows students to discover the potential and limitations of 3D Printing through an intensive design project.
