Innovation Vanguard & Showcase
Buena Park School District's "Innovation Vanguard" brings together tech-forward educators over a two-year span to learn about different educational apps and curriculum from the district's Apple Coaches and share that knowledge with their respective site teachers.
The "Innovation Showcase" is the culminating event for the Innovation Vanguard. Designed to demonstrate student progress and creativity in STEM and technology, the Innovation Showcase allows students and teachers across the district to share ideas and learn from one another's projects. Someone attending the Innovation Showcase might discover how to learn geometry and architecture by programming Cue robots to draw two-dimensional houses, or they might see a sample video essay project about Sonia Sotomayor.
